CHILDREN´S HOUSE PROGRAMME
DR. MARIA MONTESSORI believed that no human being is educated by another person. He or she must do it by him or herself or it will never be done. A truly educated individual continues learning long after the hours and years he or she spend in the classroom because that person is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. Dr. Montessori felt, therefore, that the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from a pre-selected course of studies but rather to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn.

WE ARE OPEN FROM 7:30 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.

HALF DAY CHILDREN´S HOUSE PROGRAM
THE CHILDREN’S MONTESSORI ACADEMY offers the only accredited Children’s House Program (Casa/Preschool) for children 2 ½ - 6 years of age in the Oak Ridges area of Richmond Hill. The youngest children usually begin their Montessori journey by attending the half day program while the older children (3 years and older) attend the full day program. The children attend school five days a week to establish a definite and predictable routine.

HALF DAY SCHEDULE: 9:00 A.M. – 11:45 A.M.

FULL DAY CHILDREN´S HOUSE PROGRAM
THE FULL DAY CHILDREN HAVE a lunch break and enjoy their nutritious catered lunch (included in the tuition) followed by outdoor recreational time exploring our spacious grounds (two large, grassy playgrounds). In addition to their gross motor development, the children have the opportunity to spend time at such activities as gardening in our flower or vegetable gardens, and exploring the natural world that abounds on our 1/2 acre property in the heart of Oak Ridges. These activities help to build the child’s socialization skills and allow them to put into practice the Practical Life exercises they encounter in the classroom.

FULL DAY SCHEDULE: 9:00 A.M. – 3:45 P.M.
